Job Purpose
PDA Platform Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of a number of projects from the PDA platform portfolio and the co-ordination and management of resources, dependencies, risks and issues.
Key Accountabilities

  • Plan the projects to deliver defined outcomes and related business benefits using standard Agile processes 
  • Manage the sourcing/resourcing of the projects 
  • Identify and manage the external dependencies on other platforms, resources or environments
  • Accountable for delivery of initiatives (technology, processes, people) as assigned by the Programme Manager
  • Accountable for managing risks, issues, and change, escalating & proposing possible solutions where necessary 
  • Direct and motivate the project team - ensure all team members understand their roles; ensure project objectives and requirements are understood and met. 
  • Responsible for managing third party suppliers to achieve the desired platform outcomes
  • Responsible for forming and managing effective relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Work with the Business, End Users and Product Owners to manage the platform backlog
  • Work with Project teams to prioritise backlog items 
  • Adopt and optimise appropriate agile and DevOps methodologies and techniques
  • Ensure deliveries into test and prod adhere to RMG standards and quality (e.g. RFCs, cut down ORR, Gating)

Reports to: PDA Programme Manager
Key competencies

Essential technical skills:

1.Agile essential  - proven track record of delivery using Agile approach.

2.ScrumMaster (ideally certified ScrumMaster) with demonstrable experience of using these skills

3.Experience of Mobile application development 

4.Dev Ops – some knowledge

5.Technical background – ideally with experience working with Microsoft technology stack and Azure/Cloud. 

Other essential skills:

1.Has sufficient credibility and gravitas, and ability to work with and relate to a highly demanding internal client base and complex external supplier base
2.Demonstrable experience of delivering a portfolio of full life cycle large technology projects from concept through to operational use
3.Strong technical awareness to manage programmes with a high degree of technology content
4.Proven experience of directing & motivating project teams
