Job purpose
To support, assist and on occasion take ownership in the definition of improvement opportunities & potential business benefits, document these formally including structured requirement specifications that enable delivery & testing of those improvements.  Work with internal stakeholders and third party suppliers. 
Key accountabilities
Apply agreed methods to carry out investigations, analysis, review and documentation of all or part of a business in terms of business functions & processes, the information used & the data on which the information is based
Work proactively with the business to capture and document business and technical requirements in a clear and concise fashion
Support the definition of requirements for improving business processes and systems
Assist in the creation of viable specifications and acceptance criteria suitable for procurement / construction of information and communication systems
Support the facilitation of business workshops to develop and convert business requirements into process/systems solutions taking into account IT, business and commercial drivers
Assist in the compilation of functional and technical specifications and elements of solution design working with architecture, infrastructure and development/vendor teams
Support the shaping, and delivery of business, technology and process change in a supply chain environment.
Work closely with stakeholders within the business area, IT Teams, and suppliers to ensure that requirements are agreed

 Attention to detail and completeness of tasks is important  to minimise changes and associated costs
 Assist in the procurement process, provide input to tender documents and participate in the bid evaluation process to help ensure business requirements are being met
