About the role
You will support the wider team in providing technical support for one of our HR systems. This will involve interpreting HR systems data to resolve queries, requiring advanced Excel skills.

 

You will support our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to deliver system changes across different applications following the Systems Development Lifecycle.

 

You will monitor key system processes, ensuring system polices are followed in accordance with audit recommendations and IT best practice. You will also help to resolve queries through liaison with other team members and/or process teams, helping to develop strong working relationships between the process teams, HR Service Centre and our customers.

 

Other parts of your role will also involve answering and resolving customer enquiries, taking ownership of tasks, and ensuring complete and accurate solutions are delivered in a timely manner.

 

You will have responsibility for granting / removing system access, ensuring all users have the correct level of system access to perform their role. You will also ensure all service tickets being raised to the team are complete, have followed the correct process, and are completed within our Service Level Agreements; always looking to identify improvement opportunities within the process.
  
Finally, you will present a professional image of our HR Services team and inspire the confidence of customers by providing excellent advice and system support.
 


About You 
To be successful in this role you will be able to evidence the following essential skills and experiences:
 

Essential Skills:
•    Good IT Skills with an aptitude / passion for systems development.
•    Advanced experience of Microsoft Excel ESSENTIAL. Knowledge or understanding of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) desirable.
•    Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
•    Good fact finding and report writing skills.
•    Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to meet targets.
•    Good team player with a flexible approach to working across the teams within the department and wider organisation. It is important that you can develop excellent working relationships with all colleagues.
•    Ability to adapt to change.
•    Confident working with stakeholders at all levels in an organisation.
•    Excellent customer service skills.

 

Desirable Skills:
•    Confident in the development and maintenance of solutions using Microsoft applications (e.g. advanced Excel) with experience or knowledge of the Systems Development Lifecycle.
