Our Operations Managers leading a cluster of Delivery Offices, inspiring and nurturing a culture of trust and accountability within their management teams – ensuring that they own unit performance, drive continuous improvement and deliver a safe and productive workplace.  
With a focus on driving performance improvement through key scorecard indicators, our OMs intervene only when necessary, and champion the deployment of transformational change to meet time, cost and quality requirements.

 

Critically you will ensure that 
-    your management team operate collaboratively and achieve excellent customer service whilst maximising efficiency
-    you partner with the Performance coaching team, supporting everyone to fulfil their potential, advocating personal learning and development 
-    you own your budget, estimating and justifying costs, controlling expenditure, and evaluating outcomes
-    relationships within and across different departments, functions, unions, internal and external stakeholders, are leveraged to achieve best-in-class business results
-    simple and effective communication celebrates achievements and focuses activity on opportunities for improvement

 

What skills and experience are we looking for?

 

As this is an extremely interesting and varied role, we are looking for leaders who are flexible, can work under pressure and possess excellent leadership and communication skills. 
Commercial awareness is key, with a strong track record of leading a developing high performing team.  Thus well-rounded people management skills, coupling both logic and sensitivity within Royal Mail policies, are key to managing your team throughout their time with Royal Mail Group to develop and enhance their own teams.

Where will I work?

 

The role is required to provide managerial support across different locations.

You must have the ability to travel to the offices where you work where public transport may not be available.

Salary starting at £56,000  (dependent on experience) plus potential 18% on target bonus plus 27.5 days leave and a car allowance.

 

Shift Pattern

 Full time work – flexible to support operations
