About the role

Working in the Chelmsford and Ipswich area, you’ll manage a portfolio of 50-60 customers alongside supporting new business customers, all based on strong professional customer relationships whilst achieving KPIs. You’ll maximise revenue whilst contributing to opportunities through growth, retention and cost reduction.

 

You’ll deliver portfolio growth through developing and maintaining an individual sales plan for all your customers to recognise and drive new opportunities tailoring productions & solutions for their needs. Collaborating with a team of Field Based Account Managers, Business Development Manager and the Parcelforce operations team, you’ll look to achieve our team goals and provide the best possible customer experience.

About you

If there’s one thing we’re looking for, it’s drive. As an express delivery business, we like to go far and move fast – and we look for people with the same ambition. You should have a strong competitive streak, having achieved outstanding results in a previous role. Commercial shrewd you’ll love the buzz of a sale, and get excited about building new relationships and portfolio planning.

 

Possessing excellent negotiation skills, with sharp commercial intuition, you’ll have the ability to influence customers, both large and small. You’ll have a flexible approach, with the drive and determination to succeed, alongside demonstrated planning and forecasting skills. IT literate, you will be a clear and concise communicator within a commercial market.

 

In summary, we’re looking for:

  • 1-2 years’ field sales account management experience
  • Top sales figures within a previous role
  • Proven track record of successful portfolio management and growth
  • The ability to build strong relationships quickly
  • Someone who thrives on meeting new customers
  • A full driving license

 

Ideally your background will be in a account management environment, with industry specific experience being a distinct advantage.
