Our post boxes, distribution centres and all the other facilities that help us deliver the mail are an essential part of what we do and it’s our Property & Facilities team’s job to maintain and upgrade them. With over 2,600 sites and countless post-boxes across the UK, it’s one of the largest corporate real estates in Europe and a complex job to keep them up to date. The better our facilities, the better the experience we can offer both our customers and our colleagues.

Our Property & Facilities team combines an enormous range of skills including engineers, legal teams, project managers, cleaners and estate managers. Together, they make sure every facility complies with legal and industrial regulations and is set up to help our people succeed. Across every team, there is a dedication to helping each other improve and providing the learning opportunities and development they need to get better at what they do and progress in their careers.

Millions of letters start their journey by being posted into an iconic post box, Facilities are responsible for their upkeep and maintenance. They’re a talented team with a presence up and down the country to ensure all of our facilities are safe to use.

From the post box a letter is posted in to the distribution centre where it finds its way to the right address, each of our facilities plays a key role in delivering our services. The team is headquartered in the North West of England but work all over the country to make sure every one of those facilities is helping colleagues do their best work and giving customers a seamless experience. That means an emphasis on working as effectively and innovatively as possible, so we maximise every square metre of our property’s potential.
