Playing our part
The scale and significance of the team’s work is what makes it so rewarding. Up and down the country, the Fleet Maintenance team is repairing and maintaining the vehicles that carry mail from depots to letterboxes. It's their skill and dedication that means we can run efficiently, but also safely, ensuring that our equipment is fit for our people to use.
Day to day life
With over 1,000 people working across our workshops, our people bring a diverse range of backgrounds and experience to the team. This experience is critical for daily problem solving and creates a supportive community, where everyone can help each other succeed.
Meet Caitlin
Caitlin completed our apprenticeship programme so now has an NVQ level 3 in light and heavily vehicles. She’s always enjoyed working on a range of vehicles and you won’t find a much bigger range than the Royal Mail fleet which includes HGVs, vans and cars. Watch her film and find out how she’s found the apprenticeship and why she’d recommend it.
Meet Katie
Katie is on our four year apprenticeship. She's spent three years learning her craft on light vehicles and is now moving on to our HGVs. It's a lot to take on, but she's always had the support to help her learn and balance her time at college all the way through. Watch her film and find out what she's enjoyed most about the programme.
