From the start of the pandemic, it was critical that all operational workers could access PPE, but without reliable data on stock levels at each site, there was a risk of shortages in some sites and surpluses in others. The business urgently needed a near real-time view of stock levels to inform better distribution decisions, against a backdrop of a limited world-wide supply.
We needed to create a mobile app with a very simple user experience for data capture alongside a central, easy-to-interpret dashboard. A prototype was built in two days and the mobile and desktop app was made available to 1,800 sites in just two weeks.
