About the role
As an Account Manager in Key Accounts, you will effectively manage a portfolio of large customers. You’ll  deliver revenue and business targets, including major deals for Parcels and International.

 

Managing a blend of existing and development customers, you’ll represent the voice of the customer across the team and stakeholders. You will effectively manage customer interactions with Business Development Managers, Operations, CE, Business Units and others.

 

You will deploy Sales win plan/Portfolio plan tools to increase share of spend, improve, and enhance customer satisfaction, mitigating competitor challenges, enhancing the role of Royal Mail, and deploying customer specific-products and pricing solutions.

 

You will successfully deploy new products, campaigns, and solutions, collaborating with third parties to maximize opportunities where required. 

 

You will provide accurate monthly and full year revenue forecast and reporting, ensuring that sales standards for CRM management, Reward/Commission Management and ways of working are adhered to.

 

About you

•    High levels of business acumen and the ability to identify and act upon emerging trends.
•    Strong sales customer & portfolio planning skills
•    Self-starter and capable of operating with ambiguity and a high degree of autonomy
•    Inspires and communicates with enthusiasm and passion even in difficult situations
•    Commercially shrewd, with a challenger attitude that is focused on getting the best deal for RMG
•    Excellent written and presentation skills with the capability to create compelling briefs, pitches, presentations & business cases.
•    Strong negotiation skills and a single-minded focus on revenue and profit generation
•    Good knowledge of the customer value chain and an ability to identify and realise customer

 

Experience
•    Extensive Sales experience
•    Good understanding of the parcel industry products and services
•    Proven track record of consistent delivery against targets

 

Qualifications
•    Level 4 – 6 Sales Qualification or a related commercial field (desirable or working towards)
•    ISP (Institute of Sales Professional) Registered Sales Professional (desirable or working towards)
•    ISP (Institute of Sales Professional) Certificate in Sales Professional (desirable or working towards).
•    Flexible on travel with a full valid UK driving licence
