Location: This is a Hybrid Working role with a requirement to attend our Royal Mail, 185 Farringdon Road, London, EC1A 1AA office three days per week, with flexibility required in line with business needs.

About the role

  • This is a unique role working across ESG with both environment and community impact specialists. 
  • You’ll be helping Royal Mail to achieve Net-Zero by 2040 and deliver its Steps to Zero environment strategy by advancing its in-house ESG reporting capabilities.
  • The ESG Data Associate will work closely with the wider environment team to manage data from various internal and external sources and help establish and maintain suitable governance controls, processes, and related documentation. 
  • You will also support other areas of the ESG team, including implementing and coordinating activities related to our community impact programme.
     

About You

  • Data management and processing proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong data analytical skills and an ability to make effective decisions based on analysis.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and thoughtful approach with good communication skills (written and oral)
  • Highly organised, with great planning and time management skills in dealing with competing demands.
  • Experience in data cleansing and data processing.
  • Experience in carbon accounting, broader environmental issues, or ESG is ideal, but a demonstratable interest and passion to learn is essential!
  • Degree-level education preferred but not mandatory.
