Location: This is a Hybrid Working role with a requirement to attend our Royal Mail, 185 Farringdon Road, London, EC1A 1AA office three days per week, with flexibility required in line with business needs.

As the Head of Talent Development Programmes, you will work closely with the Director of Talent and the broader HR team to build and implement a sustainable pipeline of leadership talent at every level of our organisation.

About the role
As the Head of Talent Development Programmes, you will:
- Deliver a suite of talent development programmes to nurture high-potential talent across the organisation.
- Own programmes that support career progression from frontline roles to managers, managers to senior managers, and senior managers to senior leaders.
- Manage the end-to-end design and delivery of programme content, ensuring engagement with key stakeholders including HR Business Partners (HRBP) and business leads.
- Deliver robust and relevant development programmes that provide best-in-class leadership development.
- Coordinate the rotational elements of programmes in conjunction with business leads and HRBP, ensuring all parties are informed of timings and processes.
Programme Insights:
- Design and implement regular talent insight reporting to support talent activation across the organisation.
- Leverage talent insights to make recommendations to HR Directors and functional leads.
- Analyse talent trends and patterns, taking positive action where appropriate.
- Support the Director of Talent with quarterly reports to the Executive Board and bi-annual reports to the Nomination Committee (NomCo).
About You
- Proven track record in designing and delivering talent products that enable talent activation, succession planning, talent pooling, and talent development.
- Experience in talent management within a large-scale complex organisation.
- Ability to act as a Talent thought leader and effective implementer.
- Expertise in leadership development and creating content to support defined leadership frameworks.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams to structure and execute programmes, building operational capabilities at scale with demonstrable results.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate the 'so-what' of talent insights to decision-makers.
- Passion for holistic talent management and the ability to lead with a sense of urgency.
