We are seeking a Marketing Insights Analyst to drive the optimisation of targeted marketing initiatives. This role is key in delivering in-depth data analysis, generating detailed reports, and contributing to segmentation and channel optimisation efforts. The successful candidate will play a critical part in ensuring accurate data collection, providing valuable insights that support ongoing marketing improvements and enhance campaign effectiveness.

 

About the role

 

  • Developing data driven contact strategies across all marketing channels for both B2B and B2C activity (test, measure, report performance)
  • Develop and refine data mining techniques. Accountable for providing strategic recommendations to inform targeting for account and consumer channels.
  • Writing, delivering, and presenting frequent analysis/insights updates on marketing performance – making recommendations from the data
  • Development of segmentation, clustering and behavioural targeting
  • Measuring, reporting, and providing detailed analysis on digital marketing performance.
  • Using a range of available Martech tools and platforms, provide advanced analytical techniques and innovative approaches to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for Royal Mail Group digital marketing performance. 
  • Build and develop strong stakeholder relationships and influence key decision making. Manage day-to-day relationship with analytics partner agency and ensure any delegated tactical activities are delivered in an accurate and timely manner.


About you


We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a keen analytical mindset, and is able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.


Essential:

  • Proficiency in Excel with a strong understanding of data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience in a digital marketing analytics role or a relevant degree in an analytical field such as Mathematics or Data Science
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse, report, and generate actionable insights from data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with experience in providing recommendations based on data findings
  • Ability to leverage segmentation and targeting information for effective campaign and channel planning
  • Solid understanding of web analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) and digital marketing techniques

 

Desirable:

  • SQL skills for data analysis and reporting
  • Certification in Adobe Analytics Business Practitioner or Google Analytics
