This is a Remote Working role with a requirement to attend regular customer visits in your area, Newcastle, Teesside and York. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate should live in the Northeast, and hold a full valid UK Driving Licence.

Are you a confident, organised, driven individual with excellent communication skills used to influence and negotiate at all levels? Do you have proven Sales experience, ready to make your mark as a Business Development Manager? If so, I would love to hear from you. 


Reporting into the Regional New Business Sales Manager, you will work within a very competitive Courier and Express Parcels market, generating profitable new business sales into the PFW depot network, in line with commercial direction of the business plan.


Responsibilities in role 
•    Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities and partnerships
•    Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
•    Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders
•    Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities, and attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and identify new leads
•    Prepare and present business proposals, contracts, and negotiations to prospective clients
•    Monitor and report on the performance of business development initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement, whilst collaborating with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to align business development efforts with overall company goals

•    Excellent negotiation and influential skills with a single-minded focus on revenue and profit generation, able to negotiate up to Board level
•    Commercially shrewd, focused on getting the best deal for the business
•    Clear concise communicator, with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
•    Highly motivated self-starter, with drive and resilience 
•    IT literate, with the ability to forecast and plan
 

Experience
•    Extensive experience of delivering new business in a highly competitive sales environment, with demonstrable results
•    Experience of using CRM systems to track opportunities and sales conversion
 

Qualifications
•    Graduate or relevant experience (desirable)

Next Steps
