About the job:
 

Infrastructure Managers will be a subject matter expert in their technology tower.  They will be responsible for delivering Infrastructure Improvement Programmes with accountability for budgets up to £1 million and will be required to liaise with numerous stakeholders (via recognised governance forums). Key Accountabilities:
 

You will manage your professional development and identify opportunities (such as training courses, seminars, conferences etc) that will enable you to become a subject matter expert for your respective infrastructure tower. This will enable you to actively contribute to the Infrastructure Management team meetings to promote the visibility of activities across the function. You will contribute, develop and publish a holistic infrastructure roadmap detailing prioritised initiatives for your tower to help modernise the technology landscape, to mitigate service risks and underpin investment forecasting. 
 

You will identify key stakeholders for technologies within your infrastructure tower and utilise them as a source of information, to challenge and support your decision/recommendation process. You will actively contribute to monthly reporting governance packs that are presented to technology executives and ensure that technologies within your infrastructure tower are accurately refelecting within the Configuration Management Database. You will understand the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the technologies within your infrastructure tower, identify opportunities to ensure services are managed and maintained in an efficient manner.

Tech you’d never expect:
 

Core skills: LAN/WAN/WLAN/SD-WAN, Network Authentication, Firewall functionality, Network Security, Network Capacity Management, Network Automation, Network Monitoring, Network Management Tools (i.e. SolarWinds) and Active Directory. 
It is also desirable for you to have a working knowledge of Cisco Meraki SD-WAN platforms
