Senior Pensions Administrator (RMPP) - Sheffield - Hybrid Working

Salary £34,000 to £36,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications) plus potential 10% annual bonus potential, company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution, generous annual leave offering of 25 days, plus bank holidays, increasing to 27.5 days after 10 years service. There is also an option to purchase a further week’s holiday (5 days)

Welcome bonus of £1,500 payable on successful completion of probation 
Permanent, Full time, 35 hours per week
Hybrid working - 3 days per week in the Sheffield office at Pond Street, Sheffield, S98 6HR

You will play an important role in a talented and enthusiastic team that calculates benefits for members of our Defined Benefit pension plan. About the role
As our Senior Pensions Administrator, you will work directly with one of our brilliant team leaders to plan how we deliver casework. You will help lead a team of Pension Administrators, reviewing and approving benefits going into payment. As you progress, you’ll become one of our technical experts, providing guidance and support to the team and helping them develop their skills and experience.
 
You will also:
•    Provide technical guidance on plan rules and statutory obligations 
•    Be responsible for resolving complex cases and coaching the team to help them do so in future
•    Identify, champion and drive changes to how we work to improve the member experience
•    Be an escalation point for member queries and complaints relevant to the function
•    Ensure compliance with business processes
•    Coach administrators to address any errors and prevent future ones
•    Ensure safe systems of work 
 
About You
We’re looking for experienced and professionally qualified DB pensions practitioners who can hit the ground running. You will have a strong understanding of UK Pensions and be able to tell us about when you’ve previously helped deliver a professional, member-focussed services for DB pension schemes. You will also be: 
 
•    A strong verbal and written communicator
•    Be someone with strong numeracy skills 
•    Skilled at planning and organisation with experience delivering member-focused services to demanding timelines within a commercial framework
•    A champion of service improvement tools & techniques who is comfortable challenge the status quo to improve services 
•    Comfortable coaching and mentoring 
•    Educated to A Level and have A*-C at English Language and Maths GCSEs
•    Qualified in professional pensions (e.g Certificate or Diploma in Pension Administration, PMI Award in Pensions Essentials’ QPA etc)

Your pay progression and starting salary will be determined by your experience, performance, and the qualifications you have and earn. You could also be eligible for £1500 Welcome bonus payable on successful completion of probation
