We have a great opportunity in this newly created role for an experienced Talent Acquisition Team Leader to join a new volume recruitment team. You will be responsible for the overall management of a team of 7 recruiters and fulfilling high volume talent attraction across the UK, leading the team, exemplifying strong performance management and professional development for your team members. 

 

Crucially, this role will ensure we maintain, develop, deploy and monitor high quality talent management activities including assessment centres and enhancing our current TA strategy to market. This role is integral in driving business ambition to provide a healthy pipeline of talent, across various key BUs, where there is an always-on approach to knowing and growing our talent.  

 

This is a hybrid role out of our Sheffield office with travel across national sites as per stakeholder requirements. 

 

About the role

 

 

  • A key part of the role will be working collaboratively with teams across the business including but not exhaustive, Early Careers and Customer Experience Leads/HRBPs to understand specific regional challenges, identifying, and deploying solutions, where required.   

 

  • You will be involved in designing, building, and maintaining the volume attraction plan – advising and deploying the most efficient and cost-effective routes to market, focusing on plans to address identified hard to recruit roles. 

 

  • Support the Head of Talent Management and local HR communities to deliver key workstreams relating to talent management at both a strategic and tactical level, operationalising across the business. 

 

  • Provide high quality data analysis, talent analytics and insights to evaluate and inform the talent management strategy, generating insights from both internal and external sources. Collate and report on recruiting trends, including local conditions, and competitive institutions to develop longer term recruitment plans and deliver at external attraction events. 

 

About You

 

 

  • Strong knowledge of talent management best practice and desire to develop thinking in this area. 
  • Excellent collaborator who can coordinate the activities across multiple teams to ensure project deliverables. 
  • Excellent data and analytics skills with the ability to present insights in a meaningful way that drive decision making. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. 
  • Excellent stakeholder skills, with the ability to operate, collaborate and influence at all levels of the organisation. 
  • Strong team leadership skills including coaching and performance management. 
  • Ability to work at pace, connect the dots and be a self-starter, with a high degree of resilience and comfortable dealing with change. 
  • CIPD/REC qualified, desirable. 
  • Experience delivering high volume TA projects; focus on assessment centres and implementing new initiatives.
