At the heart of that transformation journey is the National Engineering and Process Design Team, in which this important leadership role is based. - The Head of International Operations is responsible for the achievement of key performance indicators including safety, quality cost efficiency & people within Royal Mail International Operations.  This is an important leadership role and will make significant contributions to the financial, commercial and quality performance of the International business and RMG. The role is integral to create and deploy the International Strategy that focus on driving sustained performance through cadence, and continuous improvement practises. Working in a fast-paced environment this role is accountable for driving and implementing national change initiatives, developing the business plan, and working to achieve all unit and personal targets and goals. Providing leadership that creates enthusiasm and inspires people through all levels of the business to act and embrace positive change and build a culture of high performance and a climate for success. 

 

This is a key leadership role in which you will need to lead a team to drive results and equally engage with stakeholders across the business to ensure that you create an environment for success, conducive to personal learning and development ensuring all team member are fully equipped and supported to deliver maximum performance through the right leadership behaviour and actions. 

 

You will be accountable to identify and support the International Operations strategy, communicate the actions need to implement in pursuit of improvement and excellence.
You will also be accountable to drive operational performance and customer focus through defined scorecard KPI’s; safety, quality, financial, employee and regulatory.

Reporting into the Engineering and Process Design Director, you will act as the Head of International Operations

 

This is a permanent fixed site position, based at the Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre, Langley.

Four direct reports, c 130 managers, c1300 frontline employees across three International sites (HWDC, ILC, LAMU)
