Reporting into the Head of Product Tower Management, you will be the accountable owner managing the strategic roadmap for your area, assessment, and gain agreement of the prioritisation for opportunities towards ensuring the volume and revenue targets of the products/features within tower are successfully achieved against the overall commercial business plan.


About the role  

You will own and manage the targets for your work area and the strategic roadmap for the products and features within your tower, responding to customer tender requests related to the key products and features.


You will bring product amendments to market by assessing viable commercial options against price, cost, and return-on-investment analyses. Alongside this, you’ll be responsible for responding to significant customer needs/issues by releasing critical commercial product amendments swiftly out to market, and provide econometric materials to support required investment for the product amendments.


You will facilitate competitor research and similar products for learning about users, and a product's market.


You will oversee and be responsible for live service introduction of our new Products and features together with successful customer take-on towards ensuring successful achievement of the return-on-investment expectations

 

About you 
To truly excel in the role, you’ll possess the key skills and experience listed below – 


Key skills  

•    Excellent stakeholder management and proven ability to build strong positive and collaborative working relationships
•    Demonstrate detailed knowledge of Product Development lifecycle
•    Delivering Product Change within high-pressure environments, successfully delivering strategic capability to market            
•    Integrated Product Development planning within a cross-functional working environment
•    Experienced with demanding adherence to documented processes and governance 


Experience

 

•    Project/Programme Manager / Delivery Manager experienced in business transformation environments
•    Management of complex portfolio and programme environments 
•    Expert planner from high level exec communication through to project planner detailed level planning
•    Experience tracking plans against target, finance controls, CARDI management.
•    Understand and with ability to adhere governance and process models and guide others
•    Demonstrate sound P&L understanding with ability to forecast and track financials within a cross-functional environment
•    Experience of Waterfall, Agile and hybrid delivery models
•    Product Manager / owner experience is beneficial 
•    Ideally Royal Mail or logistics familiar, but not essential.

•    Experienced with working within a team delivering Product change within a tightly controlled governance environment
•    Experience of dealing with high-pressure, strategic Product change, managing all levels of stakeholders, from the working level through to the Executive Board level
•    Able to create robust, detailed plans and then track and control it throughout the full development lifecycle
•    Experienced in managing multi-million budgets
•    Bachelors degree in marketing/ and or business
