This role is covering the South Midlands area and regular travel will be expected.

 

Royal Mail is embarking on one of the most challenging Transformations in its history.  Transitioning from a letter to a parcels mail delivery in parallel to deploying significant changes to the Universal Service Obligation (USO).  Every part of the organisation and every colleague will be influenced by this change.  


Working to the Senior Change Deployment Manager, the Delivery Change Manager has a pivotal role to play in this transformation journey.

About the Role
•    Lead the deployment of three annual revisions in small delivery offices and support the Senior Change Deployment Manager in larger units.
•    Be accountable for deploying other transformational changes and realising associated benefits.
•    Act as Lead Deployer in small units, managing all aspects of change; support the Senior Deployment Lead in larger units.
•    Utilise delivery revision processes and task lists to deploy optimised revisions on time and to the required quality, ensuring full benefit realisation.
•    Establish clear roles and responsibilities with stakeholders, addressing any gaps in accountability.
•    Review and validate unit base data to ensure accuracy for revision sign-off.
•    Lead and contribute to Start-Up and Design meetings, providing expert input.
•    Develop optimised duty sets for indoor and outdoor workloads using IWT, best methods, and GeoRoute.
•    Design duty sets in Duty Manager that align with change parameters and operational efficiency goals.
•    Provide weekly progress reports to stakeholders.
 

About You
•    Good analytical, planning, and organisational skills
•    Excellent engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships quickly and to explain technical outputs to stakeholders.
•    Results and output orientated with a positive challenging style.
•    Coaching skills, ability to unblock barriers and resolve issues at a local level.
•    Project Management skills – planning, tracking progress, stakeholder management, risk and issue management, benefit realisation.
•    Change Management skills – creating awareness and a desire to change, able to articulate the change narrative, manging resistance and being able to influence
