An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Royal Mail as an International Programme Manager. In this position you'll lead the development and deployment of International Capital Programmes and Key International Initiatives from scoping through to deployment, leveraging RM Group and partners capabilities. You'll manage RMG International commercial  programmes and key initiatives. 

 

About the role

 

You'll programme manage of complex commercial change activity to meet RMG International Commercial strategic goals, whilst managing the complex commercial change activity to meet regulatory and compliance requirements for international export and import postings.  


You'll lead the effective development projects from initiation and business cases through relevant commercial programme authorities and business approvals, including accountability for the deployment of high value programmes.


You'll understand complex stakeholder management, across various functions, including up to Board level.


You'll manage all internal concurrences for major deals including management of legal, commercial, operational and reputational risk of RMG International. This includes navigating the relevant business approvals.


You'll deliver all key specific measures from business cases including milestone planning and financial (e.g. ROI, NPV) and non-financial success criteria.


You'll deliver key RMG  International Commercial Initiatives and Programmes to time and budget with completion of appropriate Royal Mail Group Project Management Financial system software.


You'll facilitate and lead Initiatives and Programmes with virtual team management of Subject Matter Experts from across RM Group and partners.

 

About You

 

In order to excel in this position you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong programme and project management, including virtual team management
  • Strong commercial focus combined with a high level of business acumen
  • A general understanding of the legal, regulatory and compliance environment, international postal and commercial operational processes and models, and all relevant business approvals.
  • Innovative thinking and ability to manage complexity.
  • A deep understanding of business capabilities combined with the ability to match these to RMG International strategic needs to programmes and key initiatives 
  • Strong interpersonal skills,  including the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across a complex organisationthe company and/or third parties
  • Strong technical abilities – e.g. planning, programme management, facilitation, with legislation and compliance & managing complexity and ambiguity
